Anglesea - Aireys Inlet

Start with a visit to Bellbrae Winery, before Anglesea, Spit Point Lighthouse and Bark Hut in Aireys Inlet before continuing to Lorne. Teddy's Lookout provides towering views of the coast, where the St. George River spills out into the ocean. A short drive inland brings us to Erskine Falls, a “must visit” when in Lorne. Port Campbell National Park

Explore Port Campbell National Park. Take a ride in a Helicopter. Walk down Gibson's Steps to the beach. View the famous 12 Apostles rock formations, Loch Ard Gorge, The Arch, and London Bridge. Other places of interest today are Timboon for Cheese and whisky, Allansford Cheese museum and Hopkins Falls. 2 nights in Warrnambool.   B L D A

Warrnambool

This morning we drive to Tower Hill State Game Reserve for abundance of wildlife in three concentric extinct volcanic craters. Visit the charming historic small town of Port Fairy. Return to Warrnambool and visit the award winning Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. In winter look for whales from Logan’s Beach. 2nd. night in Warnambool.   B L D A

Warrnambool - Tower Hill - Port Fairy - Penshurst - Halls Gap

Today we leave the coast and head north to Penshurst for a great panoramic view from Mt. Rouse.
While in the area we will take the opportunity to visit the Byaduc lava caves before travelling on to the Grampians. 2 nights in Halls Gap in Grampians National Park.   B L D A

Halls Gap - Stawell - Halls Gap

Massive sandstone escarpments provide spectacular scenery and views in Grampians National Park. Lakes, waterfalls and lookouts are all there for your pleasure. This area is rich in Aboriginal history. Bunjil's Cave and Aboriginal paintings give us an insight to this mysterious area they call Gariwerd. 2nd night in Hall's Gap.   B L D A

Halls Gap - Great Western - Ballarat

Tour the cellars of the best known "champagne" region of Australia in Great Western. Scenic drive past the Pyrenees to Ballarat. Sovereign Hill is a recreated version of Ballarat in the 1850’s where we can wander back in time. This is followed by "Blood on the Southern Cross" light show in the evening. Overnight in Ballarat.   B L D A

Ballarat - Melbourne

Visit the Eureka Museum and hear the story of Australia’s only armed uprising. Depending on departure times from Melbourne International Airport (if applicable) we may detour to Daylesford & Hepburn Springs on the way back to Melbourne. Drop-offs to suit.. This concludes your Great Southern Tour.   B L

To secure your booking Australian Hi-Light Tours needs a 20% non-refundable deposit (usually between 3-12 weeks in advance). The balance of the fee is payable 7 days before the start of the tour. Cancellation Policy: The 20% booking deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations received in writing 7 days before departure, there is a 50% refund. For cancellations received in writing until the day before departure, there is a 20% refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received on the day of or after the departure date.s
